Most of our insurance plans offer a prescription benefit provided by Prime Therapeutics (Prime).

Prime offers a mail order pharmacy benefit serviced by Amazon Pharmacy and Express Scripts Pharmacy (ESI). These mail order pharmacies allow you to order new prescriptions and refill medications on the web and have them mailed directly to you.

Get Started With Mail Order Drugs

We've partnered with Amazon Pharmacy and Express Scripts Pharmacy (ESI) to provide our mail order drug program for Commercial members.

Depending on group benefit design, self-funded (ASO) group members may choose Amazon Pharmacy or Express Scripts Pharmacy (ESI) for their mail order pharmacy services. 

Individual – Under 65 and Fully Insured group members will have Amazon Pharmacy for their mail order pharmacy services. 

NOTE: Some programs are available to Blue Cross NC members for specific plans only. You'll need to check the benefits of the plan you purchase to see if you're eligible for this prescription drug benefit.

To start an order for prescription drugs or refills with Amazon Pharmacy, all you need to do is set up your account using your member ID by visiting www.amazon.com/bluecrossNC and clicking “Get Started.” Once registered, you can manage your prescriptions and place orders, or you can check out the steps on their website.
